Massive oversupply has sent crude oil prices to record lows across the globe as demand destruction overwhelmed the market. To compete for a smaller pie, crude producers have been slashing prices to woo buyers, whose home markets have seen some of the highest inventories of crude and products, and well as the lowest consumption. Prices have return to above $30/barrel levels after plunging below $20/barrel, seeing US benchmarks fall below zero. How has the market been reacting and what are the price indications showing us? How is Asia poised to recover? How has India been impacted in terms of crude production and oil imports?
