Prior to this, he spent three years at WatersTechnology as both a European staff writer and then deputy editor across both the buy- and sell-sides, with previous experience of writing for the technology, insolvency and consumer credit sectors.
Ian Mawdsley is the Head of Buy-side Trading EMEA & APAC, Refinitiv. He has been working in the financial markets for over 25 years, with the first 8 years in the front office and the remainder working within the financial technology sector. Ian joined Thomson Reuters in January 2017 following the acquisition of REDI Holdings LLC.
Ian holds a Bsc in Computer Science and has completed post-graduate work around object-based systems design. He is a keen sportsman spending much of his spare time competing in triathlons alongside coaching a mini-rugby team.
Ashwin Venkatraman is Head of Trading Automation Technology at JP Morgan Asset Management. Having joined in 2015, he leads a team of engineers responsible for delivering the equity trading automation platform globally. He joined JP Morgan following ten years at Goldman Sachs on the sell-side with a similar focus on trading automation partnering with 1Delta Trading desks.
