Currently, Associate Professor at Vrije University Amsterdam, and Head of Quantitative Modelling at Probability & Partners, Dr Svetlana Borovkova has specialized in applying mathematical and statistical methods to problems within quantitative finance and risk management.

Dr Borovkova’s research extends in many areas, such as news analytics for finance, derivatives pricing, commodity markets and risk management in the face of new regulation. She is also a consultant for the Dutch Central Bank and the founder and principal consultant of DataDecisions: Financial Risk Consultancy.

Eric Fischkin is the Proposition Director of Quant & Feeds at Refinitiv, in charge of news and other textual content for quantitative use. Prior to this role, he served as Head of News Feeds Product Management. He joined Thomson Reuters (Refinitiv) in 2010 as Senior Product Manager in Machine Readable News.

Earlier, Eric handled technology as part of the co-founding team at CallStreet, a corporate event calendar and transcript service that was sold to FactSet. He has a degree in Applied Mathematics from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Ryan serves as the firm’s Deputy CIO. Prior to rejoining Algert Global, Ryan was  Head of Research for the Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets Equity group within BlackRock’s  Scientific Active Equity team. His service at BlackRock dates back to 2008, including his tenure at  Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009.

Ryan began his career as  an assistant professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management. Ryan earned a BBA degree and Ph.D. with a concentration in Accounting, both from the University  of Wisconsin.
