Climate ambition matters: What’s in store for European Carbon?

Will European leaders agree a more ambitious 2030 climate target at the 10-11 December summit? Are they prepared to up ambition from 40 to at least 55 percent reduction compared to 1990 emission levels?
A total makeover of the emissions trading system is on the cards, alongside a revamp of other climate and energy policies to deliver on the Green Deal. All amidst efforts to recover a pandemic-ridden European economy and a changing landscape in international climate politics.

In our Europe carbon webinar we ask:
What could a 55 percent reduction target imply for the European carbon market and carbon prices until 2030?
More ambition, sector expansion, carbon tax at the border, adjustments to the market balancing tool MSR: What are the key policy design choices for the EU ETS?
What have been the main carbon price drivers in the year of covid-19 and what will be the key factors to watch entering 2021?
