Europe is about to revamp its climate and energy policies to deliver on the Green Deal and meet the 2030 ambition to reduce emissions by at least 55 percent reduction compared to 1990 levels. A makeover of the emissions trading system ( EU ETS ) is key to the fit for 55 proposals put forward by the European Commission before summer. The discussions will intensify in an environmentofskyrocketing energy prices putting pressure on European policy-makers and industry.

In our Europe carbon webinar we ask:

  • What have been the main price drivers in the year where carbon prices have doubled and what will be the key factors to watch entering the winter?

  • What are they core elements of the EU ETS ‘fit for 55’ proposal? And what will the current debate and the upcoming revisions imply for the European carbon market and carbon prices until 2030?

  • How is EU climate policy connecting with the outside world?
