Malcolm Wright is founder of InnoFi Advisory, a consulting firm that supports innovation and growth in financial services, particularly utilising blockchain, virtual assets, distributed autonomous organisations (DAOs), and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). He is a noted global leader on virtual asset regulation and compliance, and also acts as Head of Strategy for Shyft, a crypto Travel Rule provider. He has previously worked as a C-level executive in both FinTech and virtual asset firms.

Malcolm is also deputy-Chair of the Advisory Council and co-lead of the AML working group at Global Digital Finance (GDF), a virtual asset industry body that is supporting regulators and policy makers to develop appropriate, supportive legislation as well as supporting the industry in its goal to understand and comply with regulation.

Malcolm has led industry discussions on virtual assets with the Financial Action Task Force (the FATF), as well as regulators, policy makers, and law enforcement. He co-founded and co-led a global working group of 135 technical experts that produced the IVMS101 data standard now used globally by virtual asset firms to comply with the ‘Travel Rule’ as required by FATF guidance. Further, he now leads a project to facilitate easier onboarding between financial institutions and virtual asset service providers in conjunction with the Wolfsberg Group.

In his prior career, Malcolm worked at world-leading financial services firms including Schroders, Revolut, Thomson Reuters, BitMEX, and Eqonex where he led functions across product, technology, operations, and compliance. He also ran his own software development firm for several years before successfully exiting.

Malcolm now speaks and writes internationally on a variety of topics, particularly in relation to virtual assets, their risks, and mitigation of those risks.

In addition to his roles at GDF, Malcolm is also Chair of the Practitioners Advisory Board at the International Compliance Association, and an Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute’s Centre for Financial Crime and Security Studies in the UK.

George has over 20 years experience within Financial Services Compliance that cuts across Asset Management, FX & CFDs and Cryptocurrency sectors. George specialises in Compliance and AML. In his current role as Lead Compliance and MLRO at CoinJar UK Limited, George spearheaded the project for obtaining the FCA UK approval for the registration of CoinJar under the UK Money Laundering Regulations. He holds a Law degree, an MBA and CISI Certificate in Combating Financial Crime.

Aravind is a Global Director of Sales Strategy & Execution for Customer and 3rd party risk solutions with primary focus on sales strategies, GTM execution strategies for solutions across our digital identity and customer screening propositions. Aravind previously worked with Amazon as their KYC product manager

Aravind has over 15 years of experience in the technology industry working with various organizations such as EMC, PwC and Amazon, living and working in the US, India and the UK. Aravind is an evangelist for disruptive technologies as a means to solve everyday problems faced by organizations, from onboarding to fraud detection and beyond. He also speaks passionately about crypto, DeFi, payments and open banking.

Che Sidanius is the Global Head of Financial Crime & Industry Affairs at Refinitiv, an LSEG business. His role is to identify regulatory changes and lead programs of action with the sole purpose of enhancing the fight against financial crime more effective and delivering the best possible outcome for the industry. Together with the World Economic Forum and Europol, he’s the founder of the Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime.

Prior to joining Refinitiv, his work experiences include being a Senior Advisor to the Bank of England's Financial Stability Directorate and previously a Senior Bank Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of NY. His most notable awards included receiving the Presidential Award for managing the 2007-09 Financial Crisis and a driving force behind Refinitiv’s Impact Company of the year award in 2019.  

Che received his Master’s in International Affairs from the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University and undergraduate degree in Political Science from UC Berkeley in California.  

Mark joined Elliptic’s Global Policy and Research Group, as Senior Policy Advisor, EMEA, 

early this year. Before that, he worked at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), as a Technical Specialist in the Capital Markets Policy Dept.

Mark has primarily worked in regulatory policy areas, both retail and capital markets but also worked in the FCA’s Financial Crime Advisory Team, where he was responsible for delivering the UK’s cryptoasset amendments to the anti-money laundering regulations (MLRs), and then working with FCA Authorisation and Supervision to act as policy support and to provide internal training. Before leaving the FCA, he was engaged with HM Treasury and the Bank of England on the financial markets infrastructure (FMI) cryptoassets sandbox. 

He has also been seconded to the FCO and HM Treasury, spending time in Brussels as financial attaché in the UK’s Representation to the EU, negotiating a variety of dossiers, including  payment services, e-money and UCITs legislation, and at HM Treasury negotiating AIFMD and developing EU-exit financial services policy.
