Will Ferrand, EMEA Wealth Director, Refinitiv


William is the lead for Refinitiv’s Wealth Management business in EMEA and is responsible for running the operations and strategy for the Wealth business in the region. William joined Refinitiv in 2013 and has held multiple sales and business development roles at the firm. Prior to joining Refinitiv William held roles at PerTrac and eVestment. He holds a Master of Arts in European Union studies from the University of Edinburgh and is fluent in English, French, Italian and German.




Ralf Heim, Fincite, Co-Founder & CEO

Ralf is a German Technology Entrepreneur and Founder of Fincite as well as Fincite Ventures. 
As a Pioneer for digital investment solutions, Fincite creates Asset Management for a connected, digital world. Before Fincite, Ralf headed the business development of a big data company (exits to PwC & SAP). 
Starting as a freelancer at the age of 16, Ralf spent his career building analytical systems for companies as well as central banks.

Thierry Groues, Associate Partner, WAM Transformation Strategic Solutions Lead, EY

Thierry Groues is an Associate Partner with EY Financial Services’ Office, in charge of EY’s Digital Transformation solutions in the Wealth Management Industry for EMEIA. His focus is to support clients in the WAM industry in delivering business value through the application of technology. Thierry has over 13 years of experience in Strategy, Innovation and Transformation Consulting.



Charles Smith, Global Head of Digital Solutions, Refinitiv

Charles is responsible for driving the strategic direction, business planning and financial results for Digital Solutions business.  Prior to joining Refinitiv, Charles was a managing director in the Wealth & Asset Management Advisory practice of Ernst & Young LLP (EY). Charles has deep knowledge in wealth management product areas and is an inventor on eight US patents on process and product designs.

Over the last 15 years, Charles has worked extensively with many of the top 10 US financial services institutions with a focus on product strategy, platform design, digital strategies, operating model development, and process improvement. Prior to joining EY, Charles had senior leadership roles at Fiserv/CheckFree (now Tegra118) and Misys (now Finastra).



Stephen McGrath, Head of Digital Customer Experience and Engagement, IG Group

Steve has worked in the financial services industry for more than two decades, gaining a deep understanding of content, initially as a financial journalist and then a content marketeer. In his current role as Head of Digital Customer Experience and Engagement at trading firm IG, his aim is to close the digital customer experience gap by ensuring the right content is delivered to the right audience at the right time through use of data analytics and technology. 


David Jones, Chief Market Strategist, capital.com

David is a qualified technical analyst whose major role is to develop Capital.com’s market-leading content through driving our YouTube channel, where he delivers info-reach videos, webinars, technical analyses and key market updates. He started his financial career in the 1990s as a currency analyst. He has held senior management positions at CMC Markets and IG Group, where he provided regular commentary to media and clients, and devised a wide range of educational programmes. From 2015 David was markets presenter on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Wake Up to Money. He has also consulted within the financial trading industry, providing education and market content for a wide range of clients around the world. 


Guilhem Tranchant, Managing Director, capital.com

Guilhem joined Capital.com UK back in August 2020 and will lead the development of the UK business but also for other Western European countries.
Guilhem started his career in 2007 at BNP Paribas CIB in London as an EMTN dealer. Then, he joined Saxo Bank in Paris in 2010 as a Cross-Asset Sales Trader before managing his own team, handling both acquisition and retention activities. He became the Head of Sales for CMC Markets France back in November 2014 before handling all Country Manager duties back in September 2015. Guilhem gained a real expertise on sales and relationship management activities and has an in-depth understanding of all marketing, regulatory & compliance activities as closely related to CFD trading and Spread Betting activities.
