Ross Finley Global Editor, Reuters Polls and Economic Data - Thomson Reuters

A journalist and editor with more than 20 years of experience, Ross oversees Reuters polls of economic and market experts, commissioning and editing related news stories on global economics, central bank policy, foreign exchange and bond markets as well as snap polls on macroeconomic trends high on the news agenda. He manages a team of correspondents and analysts based in London, Bengaluru, Johannesburg and Buenos Aires.

Erik Britton CEO and Managing Director – Fathom Consulting

Erik is responsible for designing and implementing the company's strategy, for guiding its macro research, and for winning and leading major projects in macro, finance and political analysis, and ensuring those projects are completed to the highest possible standard. Prior to joining Fathom in 2007, Erik was a director at a leading economic forecasting consultancy heading up major consultancy projects for clients in blue-chip industrial firms, financial services and government in the UK, Europe and United States. Previously, he worked at the Bank of England where he spent five years in the Monetary Analysis Division running the Bank's UK macroeconomic model, coordinating its international forecast, and managing a team of economists responsible for analysing corporate sector economics.

Shamik Dhar Chief Economist - BNY Mellon Investment Management

Shamik has 33 years’ experience as an economist.  Starting in H.M. Treasury as an economic assistant in the mid-1980s, he moved to Oxford Economic Forecasting and then spent most of the 1990s as a senior economist in the Bank of England, where he worked on the UK economic forecast in the early days of inflation targeting and on monetary policy analysis in the early days of the Monetary Policy Committee. He moved to Aviva Investors (formerly Morley Fund Management) in 2000 and spent the next 14 years in the City of London, ending up as a Head of Investment Strategy.  In 2014, he became Chief Economist at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in a period of rapid geopolitical and economic change, advising ministers and senior officials on the economics of Brexit. Shamik joined BNY Mellon as Global Chief Economist in October 2018. He has a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and a Master’s in Economics from Queen Mary College, University of London. Shamik also spent a year as a visiting scholar at the University of Pennsylvania in the mid-1990’s.

Paul Bacon Director of Datastream Product & Content Management - Refinitiv

 Paul currently leads the Datastream Product & Content Management function within the Investment & Advisory sector at Refinitiv and is based in London, United Kingdom. He has worked within Refinitiv for 20 years and held several roles all linked to the Datastream service for which he is passionate about.  Paul worked in the Content & Product Management function for a number of those years and have been leading the expansion in Economics content & delivering Refinitiv tools and data through new interfaces.
