Ingvild Sørhus is a Lead Analyst in the Europe Carbon team in Refinitiv which provide in-depth analysis of European Emission Trading System. In her role she does market analysis as well as supply-demand and price modelling. Prior to the role in the Europe Carbon team she worked on risk management tool for carbon offsets.

Ingvild holds a Master’s degree in Science from the University of Life Sciences (NMBU) in Norway.

Wayne Bryan is Director of European Gas Research at Refinitiv. Wayne has adegree in finance and holds a masters from UCL in international finance. Having started his career at a major energy supplier, Wayne then moved into consultancy working as a procurement analyst.

His last role saw him working for Alfa Energy as a trader/market analyst, responsible for their commodities market intelligence delivery and content, as well as risk managing several large gas and power portfolios . He is frequently quoted in the media as well as presenting at conferences across Europe with a focus on Natural gas and related markets.

Nicole Leonard manages Platts Analytics cross-commodity analytics and client engagement, showcasing Commodity Insights integrated outlook on the interdependency of commodities and the fundamentals and trends that drive individual commodity markets. She has held senior positions on Commodity Insights’ crude oil, NGL, and natural gas teams and managed countless Custom Analytics bespoke projects, during which time she contributed to various reports, built relevant and durable quantitative models, and facilitated the expansion of crude and product analysis at Commodity Insights. Ms. Leonard provides commodity market updates to over 100 S&P Global clients per year and showcases Commodity Insights’ analysis at over a dozen conferences, annual meetings, and forums per year. 

Craig  Woodburn is a passionate and highly experienced ESG professional. He is responsible for developing Britishvolt’s sustainability/ESG strategies and reporting for all activities, a crucial pillar to overall business success. His previous roles include as an environmental and planning regulator, sustainability consultant and manufacturing business lead both in the UK and various locations across the globe.

Craig has worked most recently in the automotive sector developing strategies and systems to support global sustainability, compliance and reporting around Net Zero at Jaguar Land Rover. He led integration of sustainability within JLR’s new plants in Brazil and Slovakia, other global operations, and worked with suppliers on sustainability ambitions. Prior to this he worked with international clients as a manufacturing business sector leader managing a cross functional team leading on sustainability, environmental compliance including assessing investment opportunities for banks and due diligence transactional support.

Craig is a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager, Chartered Scientist and Chartered Environmentalist.

Chris Evans is Director of Metals at Refinitiv, an LSEG company, where he co-ordinates strategy for Refinitiv’s metals business. Chris began his career in metals as a reporter, before moving to the London Metal Exchange where he launched the exchange’s first cobalt contract. He has worked at a number of start-up companies and also at a major producer of aluminium. With more than 20 years of experience in the metals business, Chris has worked in New York, Zug and is now based back in London. He is a graduate of Oxford University.

Michael Greenfield has 5 years' experience pricing commodities, with the main focus on cobalt and other battery raw materials. He has previously worked for various journalism titles in Malaysia and the UAE, which came after completing an MA in journalism. His current focus is to produced daily price assessment for cobalt metal and cobalt hydroxide, and work with the battery raw materials team to produce podcasts, analysis and news.

Eric Taarland is General Manager – Marketing (Vanadium Recovery Project) with Neometals Ltd. Neometals and its partner Critical Metals are developing the Vanadium Recovery Project in Finland that will produce high-purity vanadium pentoxide.

Eric’s career in commodities started in 2007 as a consultant with CRU Strategies in London. At CRU, he went on to lead the analysis and consultancy work in vanadium, cobalt and molybdenum. After CRU, he moved to the London Metal Exchange where he worked in business development looking after the cobalt and molybdenum contracts whilst also seeking out new contract opportunities. Following the LME, he relocated to Zug, Switzerland to join EVRAZ, where he became Head of Marketing for the Vanadium Business Unit. Eric then joined ERG as Sales Manager Cobalt, responsible for the sales of the group’s cobalt products.

Alessandro Sanos is heading the global Sales Strategy and Execution function of the Commodities, Energy, and Shipping business of Refinitiv on the holistic offering of market insights, analytics, data management, and technology. Most recently, Alessandro was leading Thomson Reuters’ Commodities business, and prior, the Risk business in Europe. Before joining Reuters, he worked for PwC in Greece covering the shipping and energy market, and for JPMorgan Chase in the United Kingdom. Alessandro is a regular speaker on technology and market trends at leading industry events. A published author on international financial publications and a guest lecturer on innovation and digital transformation, Alessandro is a member of the Executive Committee of GARP for Switzerland and the Chapter Head of Geneva for the CAIA Association.
