Alex is currently Head of Trading (FX, FI, Equities & C&E) Market-Development for EMEA at Refinitiv. His team develops business development strategies in key markets for Trading focused workflows/solutions. Prior to this role, Alex was the Regional Business Manager for FX & Corporate Treasury across EMEA.

Alex Goraieb joined Thomson-Reuters in Sept 1998. Prior to joining Thomson-Reuters Alex worked as an Emerging Markets Repo Broker at Prebon-Yamane (1994-1995),then at Knight-Ridder Financial (1995-1998) as a Treasury Market Specialist (FX, Rates & Technical Analysis), Banco Popular Español (1990-1993) in Treasury Sales. He holds an MBA from Imperial College - London, and a Business Management Degree from Manchester. He lives & works in London & is married with one child. In his spare time Alex is usually riding a bicycle, or playing music.
Vidya Ranganathan, Breaking News Editor, Reuters

Vidya is the head of Breaking News, Financial Industry and Financial Markets at Reuters. She leads the coverage of spot news on financial markets as part of the Reuters wire service, working with market reporters around the world to deliver updates and insights on markets for the wire and a broader professional audience. She is based in Singapore but works with teams in China, New York, London and all other markets.
 
Vidya was joint winner of the Reuters editor-of-the-year award in 2009 with her then boss, Eric Burroughs. She joined Reuters in 1998, prior to which she worked in the dealing room of Societe Generale in Mumbai for 3 years, selling treasury products to customers.

Vidya holds a Masters degree in Physics and a Masters in Management. Married, with two kids, she has made Singapore her home for the past 18 years.

John Noonan, Senior Analyst FX Buzz, Reuters

John is a Senior Analyst for FX BUZZ. John provides daily commentary on currencies concentrating on European currencies and the AUD. John leverages 47 years of experience in the foreign exchange markets by analysing news, trends and major events to deliver an in-depth analysis and overview of all of the markets and how they relate at any given time. Prior to joining Thomson IFR, John worked in London, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Singapore and Sydney with a number of banks. John was Treasurer of Barclays Bank San Francisco, Treasurer of Security Pacific Asia, Treasurer of Banque Bruxelles Lambert Sydney and global head of foreign exchange at Colonial State Bank in Sydney. Before joining IFR, John was head of proprietary trading and sales at National Australia Bank Singapore and head of institutional sales at CBA Sydney. John regularly appears on ABC, Sky New and Ausbiz. 

Axel Threlfall,   Editor-at-Large, Reuters

Axel Threlfall is Editor-at-Large, Reuters, based in London. Alongside his editorial duties, he hosts high-profile engagements and thought leadership events for and on behalf of Reuters and Thomson Reuters, such as the Newsmaker series and the World Economic Forum news show in Davos. He was previously Lead Anchor for Reuters Digital Video. Prior to joining Reuters, Axel spent five years as an anchor for CNBC in London. Before that, he was an editor with The Wall Street Journal in New York and a news reporter for Bloomberg in London. He has also advised businesses and NGOs on their dealings with the international media. Axel is frequently asked to moderate events for international organizations, including the United Nations and the OECD. He has a BA in History from Durham University and a postgraduate degree in journalism from City University, London.
Sujata Rao-Coverley Deputy Markets and Financial Services Editor, EMEA, Reuters

Sujata is Deputy Markets and Financial Services Editor, EMEA, at Reuters. She started her journalism career in Moscow at an expat paper called The Moscow Times after completing a post-graduate degree in Russian. After covering the 1998 Russian crisis, Sujata joined Reuters then transferred to its Central Asia bureau which was headquartered in Almaty, Kazakhstan. She then spent four years on the energy desk in London. Since 2005, Sujata has been on the EMEA markets team in a variety of roles. She speaks Russian, Spanish, Farsi and some Indian languages.  


Martin Miller, Senior Currency Analyst for FX Buzz

Martin has worked for 27 years in financial markets, starting his career at Lloyds Bank Treasury before moving on to Tokai Bank (both in London) over a period of 6 years. Whilst trading he had stints working on the Money Market and Future desks at Lloyds Bank, before sitting on the FX spot desk at Tokai bank. He then moved into research at Informa Global Markets as a FX Technical Analyst where he analyzed G10 currency pairs for 8 years, before joining Thomson Reuters in 2007. Martin is a senior currency analyst for FX Buzz in London, focusing on a mix of fundamentals, flow analysis and technical analysis. He holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and also graduated from Birkbeck College, University of London with an MSc in Economics. Martin is also a qualified technical analyst holding the STA Diploma.


Richard Pembleton, Trading Market Development, Refinitiv

Richard Pembleton represents Trading Market Development in Refinitiv , based in Hong Kong, where he is responsible to steer the overall FX strategy for the firm in this region covering desktop and API trading, e-fx workflows, market data and post trade. Prior to working in Hong Kong, Richard worked in Refinitiv London as part of the global FX management team launching low latency trading and many local initiatives to support the development of local markets with central bank workflows and benchmarks.
