What information will I receive if I sign up to receive winner notification and awards information only? 
  • If any of your funds win a Lipper Fund Award in the universes you select under the sign-up form, you will be notified of this acclaimed industry achievement.  
  • Once the results are public, you will be sent an email with the published results and related content and coverage. 
  • If you are a winner, our partner PARS International will invite you to get in touch with them if you’d like to license the Lipper Fund Awards logo to use in your corporate, promotional and advertising communications. 
Who is the Promoter company and what information should I provide? 
  • It is the company responsible for establishing the fund/s by appointing the fund management company, promoting or distributing the fund/s, the brand of the fund/s, and the product range. It refers to the brand name the winning funds fall under, e.g. Fidelity, Manulife, JP Morgan. (There is a separate field in the sign-up form for you to provide your actual company name) 
  • Please ensure you list all the brand names you oversee in the Promoter company field so we can ensure you receive all relevant information. 
What information do I receive if I sign up to receive communications about Refinitiv? 
  • You will be added to Refinitiv’ s separate marketing distribution list to receive occasional communications about Refinitiv resources, events, products or services. This is optional and not a requirement to be added to the Lipper Fund Awards community. 
Does selecting Europe cover all European award universes?  
  • No. Europe is an independent awards universe. If you want to receive information on other European awards (e.g. France, Austria, Nordics etc.) you need to select those universes in the sign-up form too. Please refer to our methodology document to understand how the various universes are determined.  
How are winners determined?
  • The merit of the winners for Lipper Fund Awards is based on entirely objective, quantitative criteria. There is no nomination process. If the fund/s are eligible for Lipper Fund Awards, are in our Lipper database and meets all criteria as per methodology, it will be considered. 
When are winners notified of their awards? 
  • Confidential winner notifications are sent separately per award universe on different dates, according to our global awards schedule. Winners are generally awarded in the first half of the year, except the Canadian and Saudi Arabia Awards which take place in November.
What information will I receive if I sign up to receive winner notification, awards information and LFA event information?
  • If any of your funds win a Lipper Fund Award in the universes you select under the sign-up form, you will be notified of this acclaimed industry achievement.  
  • If there are events related to the awards taking place, you will receive invitations and event information from us or our event partner. 
  • Once the results are public, you will be sent an email with the published results and related content and coverage.
  • If you are a winner, our partner PARS International will invite you to get in touch with them if you’d like to license the Lipper Fund Awards logo to use in your corporate, promotional and advertising communications.

  • Contacts that show the greatest success in receiving and sharing the information internally are Distribution/Marketing/Communications/Sales/Investor relations/Media & PR contacts.
  • They are a good central contact point and are not fund specific, ensuring that any news of the awards won is shared with the appropriate teams. 
  • If you are the contact point for more than 1 winning promoter (e.g. a media or communications agency or contact overseeing multiple brands),  please ensure you list all the brand names you oversee in the Promoter company field so we can ensure you receive all relevant information. 
  • If there is anyone else in your team that should sign up, please share the link with them!  
How do you process my personal data? 
  • We strive to not collect more information thank Refinitiv feels is necessary to operate the Lipper Fund Awards and to ensure that communications are relevant to the recipient.  
  • You will be able to unsubscribe or update your preferences at any stage. A link will always be provided in our communications with you. 
  • As winner results are under embargo until publicly announced by Refinitiv, we vet the winner notification distribution lists to ensure only appropriate stakeholders receive this information. 
When is the embargo lifted and when can we share news of awards publicly? 
  • Winner results for each award universe are made public on different dates, according to our global awards schedule.
  • The communication sent to winners in each award universe will detail the date the embargo for the results is lifted and when the results can be shared publicly.
