Franita Neuville, Investing & Advisory Performance Director, Refinitiv

Franita has 16 years’ experience in financial markets and is responsible for setting Refinitiv’s strategy for the Research & Portfolio Management and Benchmarks & Indices propositions in Europe, Middle East & Africa to enable the provision of innovative technology platforms to financial institutions.  Franita works with clients and partners to co-create innovative, digital content capabilities at the intersection of fintech and platform solutions. The growth of the financial markets in Europe, Middle East & Africa is her passion and as such, Franita partners with Asset Managers, Stockbrokers and key industry influencers such as exchanges and financial industry organizations, to enhance and build financial markets in the region. 
 
Prior to joining Refinitiv (back then Thomson Reuters) in May 2016, Franita was the Head of Research Sales at NOAH Capital Markets and previously a Business Development Manager and Investment Consultant for Nedgroup Investments. 
 
Franita holds an M.Comm in Economics from the University of Stellenbosch and is a CFA Charterholder. 
 
Franita lives in Johannesburg with her husband and 2 year-old son and enjoys traveling and spending time with her loved ones.  

Shawn Stillman, Senior Product Manager, Refinitiv

Shawn is a Senior Product Manager at Refinitiv focused on Research and Portfolio Management Workflows. His areas of concentration include Industry and Security data analytics.

David Eckford, MBA Partner, DRG Consulting, Clarivate

David Eckford is a Partner with DRG Consulting, and has been with DRG for over 8 years.  During that time he has led over 150 new product strategy projects in fields such as opportunity assessment, commercialization strategy, marketing strategy and segmentation, market modeling/forecasting and epidemiology.  He has experience across a broad range of therapeutic areas including oncology, cardiology, hospital-based products, and many others.

David brings over 15 years of life science consulting experience to DRGC.  In that time, he has worked with all of the top 10 global pharmacos but has also supported a broad set of mid-sized companies and pre-revenue biotech firms, as well as device and diagnostics companies and other industry players.

Prior to joining DRG, David spent 5 years as a project manager with McKinsey & Co., where he focused primarily on the medical device and biopharma industries leading projects including opportunity assessments, go-to-market strategy, growth and portfolio strategy development, and organizational strategy.  He began his career at L.E.K. Consulting.

David is originally from London.  He holds an MBA from MIT Sloan and an MA in Classics from Oxford University.

Sanjiv Talwar, Senior Research Analyst & Portfolio Manager, Invesco

Dr Sanjiv Talwar is a senior research analyst and portfolio manager at Invesco-OppenheimerFunds responsible for global investments in healthcare and the life sciences for its Global Equity strategy. He joined OppenheimerFunds in 2012 and his investment process focuses on bringing deep scientific and clinical expertise to valuing innovation in the life sciences. Previously Dr Talwar spent 6 years at McKinsey & Company leading healthcare consulting teams working with global biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device and lifescience tools companies on their R&D and commercial strategies.

Dr Talwar has over 18 years of experience in Medicine and Academia. Dr Talwar’s research focused on Neuroscience, with positions of post doctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania and Research Assistant Professor at the State University of New York. His research has been published widely including in journals such as Nature; his research work has also been widely covered by the lay press, including TIME and The Economist. Dr Talwar received his PhD and MBA from the University of Pennsylvania and holds an MD from the University of Bombay where he trained as a surgeon.
