Alessandro Sanos is heading the global Sales Strategy and Execution function of the Commodities, Energy, and Shipping business of Refinitiv on the holistic offering of market insights, analytics, data management, and technology. Most recently, Alessandro was leading Thomson Reuters’ Commodities business, and prior, the Risk business in Europe. Before joining Reuters, he worked for PwC in Greece covering the shipping and energy market, and for JPMorgan Chase in the United Kingdom. Alessandro is a regular speaker on technology and market trends at leading industry events. A published author on international financial publications and a guest lecturer on innovation and digital transformation, Alessandro is a member of the Executive Committee of GARP for Switzerland and the Chapter Head of Geneva for the CAIA Association.
Capt. Amrit Singh
Lead Shipping Analyst

Capt. Amrit Singh is Lead Shipping Analyst at Refinitiv in London. He has over 30 years of shipping industry experience gained in various roles. Singh began his career at sea and ascended to become Captain with Wilh. Wilhelmsen, Norway before stepping ashore. Prior to joining Refinitiv (formerly Thomson Reuters), he was a Senior Equity Analyst at Clarkson Capital Markets in London with coverage of listed Shipping, Oil Services and Transport (Airlines & Automobile) companies across the U.K., Europe, South Africa and Asia. Previously, he has held position as General Manager of a shipping agency and has served as Head of Corporate Planning in a shipping company. 

Singh holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Edinburgh Business School, UK. Besides a Diploma in Ship Management from NSTC at North West Kent College, UK, he also qualified as a lead auditor/auditor in Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
Ranjith Raja
Head of Oil & Shipping Research, MEA

Capt. Ranjith heads the Refinitiv Oil & Shipping Research for the Middle East and North African market, with a primary focus on Oil flows and shipping data. He and his team formulate research and market insights by generating trade flow analytics which enables real time trading information and operational intelligence. The team specializes in vessel tracking and generates big data for the mid-stream and down-stream oil markets including the marine sector by utilizing algorithmic and predictive modelling. Prior to Refinitiv, he was sailing as a Master Mariner and has sailed with leading ship-owners on their tanker fleet. Post sailing, he was managing the commercial operations for a ship-owner in West Africa and heading the technical management for the fleet. Capt. Ranjith holds a Bachelors in Nautical Technology followed by an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business in Canada.

Fabrice is Director of Product Management, Oil & Shipping at Refinitiv. He is responsible for the end to end product management of the Oil & Shipping sector. In this role, he supports the business strategy in building differentiating products that leverage our unique data, news, analytics and research.
