MASTERING THE SECOND
WAVE OF DIGITAL WEALTH
A remarkable shift has taken place in the wealth management industry in 2020. Aite Group’s executive survey shows that 53% of wealth management firms globally have noticed a significant increase in clients’ demand for digital capabilities with the start of the COVID-19 crisis compared to a year prior.

While digital transformation had been on firms’ agenda for many years, the shift in investor behavior due to COVID-19 has accelerated the adoption of new strategies, and tools by wealth firms and financial advisors.

It is expected that digital initiatives will be keeping the industry busy for the foreseeable future and technology providers like Refinitiv are offering solutions that provide for digital experience upgrades around engagement, communications, omni-channel access, financial planning, and advice. While a crisis such as the current pandemic can easily lead to budget cuts, firms are well-advised to move forward with a digital strategy, as time is of the essence, and leading firms will not sit idle.
