Marilyn S. Adler, Founder and Managing Partner - Mizzen Capital

Marilyn S. Adler is a Founder and Managing Partner at Mizzen Capital. Mizzen has $265 million of assets under management and invests as senior secured debt in lower middle market companies with $1 to $10 million of EBITDA. Our industry focus includes niche manufacturing, business services, healthcare services, alternative energy and software. Investment size ranges from $4 million to $15 million within the fund and partners with limited partners and other credit funds for larger deals up to $50 million.

Prior to founding Mizzen, Ms. Adler had senior management roles with SBIC investment funds including Medley SBIC LP, Sunrise Equity Partners LP and Hudson Venture Partners LP. Prior to that, she worked at Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association in the fixed income group and at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in the investment banking division.

Ms. has been named as one of the top women in middle market M&A every year between 2016 and 2021. Ms. Adler was the 2018 ACG Woman of Leadership awardee. She is a board member of UJA's Private Equity division, Banking & Finance division and Women of Wall Street division. Ms. Adler is a member of the SBIA ESG Working Group and was previously a board member of the SBIA board of governors and the chair of its BDC committee and prior finance chair of the board of Cornell University Hillel. Dan is a Partner and serves as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and the Investment Committee for Comvest’s direct lending strategy. He is responsible for originating, structuring, and managing investments.

Prior to joining Comvest, Dan was a Senior Director with Dymas Capital Management, where he served on the Investment Committee and was instrumental in the formation and growth of the firm from its start-up phase to an established middle-market finance company. Prior to getting his MBA, Dan began his career with Arthur Andersen and Heller Financial’s Corporate Finance Group.

Mrinalini MacDonough - Morgan Stanley

Mrinalini MacDonough is an Executive Director in Morgan Stanley’s Global Capital Markets group. She joined Morgan Stanley in 2010. At Morgan Stanley, Mrinalini has worked across the Investment Banking and Fixed Income Capital Markets divisions. Her current responsibilities include the origination, structuring and syndication of investment grade syndicated loans in North America.

Mrinalini holds an AB in Mathematics and BS in Economics from Duke University.

Tony leads TA's capital markets activities. Joseph F. Nemia, Head of Asset Based Lending - TD Bank

Joseph Nemia is Head of Asset Based Lending (ABL) at TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank. As Head of ABL, Joe is a key member of the Commercial Banking leadership team. Joe has more than 40 years of experience in Corporate Finance. He joined the bank in 2011 from RBS Citizens Financial Group where he served as President of RBS Commercial Finance. Prior to RBS, Joe was at CIT where he served as President, Commercial and Industrial. He was also a Senior Managing Director at GE Commercial Finance where he held a number of leadership positions during his 14 years with the company. He was a founding member of GE Commercial Finance and was instrumental in the middle market build out of the ABL business. He completed GE Company’s Global Business Management training in Tokyo and received Black Belt certification in Six Sigma.

Joe is on the Board of Trustees of Loyola School in New York City and a member of Loyola School’s Finance and Audit Committees. He is a Trustee of National Jewish Medical and Research Center and has served on the Board of Director’s for Junior Achievement in Stamford/Greenwich CT. Michael Nichols Partner, Capital Markets - Kelso & Company

Mike joined Kelso in 2016 and leads the firm’s capital markets activities, including acquisition financing for new investments and capital structure optimization for existing portfolio companies. He is also responsible for the execution of all debt and equity co-investments, working in close coordination with the Investor Relations team.

Prior to joining Kelso, Mike was a Vice President in the Leveraged Finance group at Goldman Sachs where he was responsible for originating, structuring and executing leveraged loan and high yield bond financings. Previously, he held capital markets roles at RoundPoint Capital Group and Banc of America Securities.

Mike received an MBA from Yale University in 2012 and a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2004.

Brian Polomsky, Managing Director, Originations - Principal Financial Group

Brian is an Originator on Principal's Direct Lending Team and has more than 20 years of experience in private equity sponsor coverage and deal execution. Brian was previously with Antares Capital covering sponsors in the Midwest and East. Transactions included deals across varying industries including manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, business services, consumer, software and aerospace with debt facility sizes of $50-$500 million. He began his career with GE Capital, with roles in audit, underwriting and account management for private equity backed businesses. Brian holds a Bachelor's Degree from John Carroll University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

David Puchowski, Director of Market Analysis - Refinitiv LPC

As Director of Market Analysis, David speaks, researches, and produces analysis across various segments of the loan market. David tracks the middle market, including the direct lending space, and co-produces the Middle Market Connect report. David also researches the high-grade loan market and produces the Investment Grade Monthly stats pack. In addition to longer length feature stories, David also puts together leverage levels for LBO deals. He created Refinitiv LPC's Flex Factor tracking flex data in the leveraged market while managing the analytical content provided via Refinitiv LPC's platform, LoanConnector.com.

David has been a part of Refinitiv LPC since 2005. Prior to joining the Market Analysis team, he worked for the data production team, helping to manage the accuracy of incoming loans data. He was instrumental in building LPC's current loans database.

Prior to Refinitiv LPC, David worked for M&A advisor Acquest International. David earned a BA in economics from Rowan University.

Richard Rivera, Managing Director, Global Loans Capital Markets - Citi

Richard Rivera is a Managing Director in Global Loans Capital Markets within Citi’sBanking, Capital Markets, & Advisory business. He has loan syndication responsibilities across a diverse portfolio of North American clients, primarily in the Healthcare and Power industries. He is also active in the firm’s diversity efforts as a member of the Diversity Committee and LGBT and Heritage (African-American and Hispanic) sub-committees.

Richard has been with Citi for 16 years. He started his career at Citi in the Global Corporate Finance program following his undergraduate studies, and focused on coverage of the Diversified Industrials portfolio. Richard later joined the Financial Institutions Group before leaving the bank to obtain his MBA. Anne Russ, Managing Director, Head of TMT Leveraged Finance - Goldman Sachs

Anne is head of TMT Leveraged Finance at Goldman Sachs. She is responsible for originating, structuring and executing debt financings across leveraged loans and high yield bonds for both corporate and financial sponsor clients. Anne joined Goldman Sachs in 2006. Prior to joining the firm, Anne started her career in Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch. She earned a BA in Economics from Amherst College.

Christopher M. Sheehan - BofA Securities

Chris is a Director on the Investment Grade Loan Syndications team, and has been working at Bank of America for 11 years. Currently, Chris primarily engages with investment-grade clients in the Healthcare and Industrial sectors and is responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of syndicated bank facilities, including revolvers, term loans and bridge loans. Mike focuses on deal sourcing, relationship building, strategic planning, recruiting management teams and operating executives, capital raising, and post-closing portfolio company development. As an independent sponsor, Mike supports the management owners he partners with to accelerate growth and realize their visions for their companies.

Neha Shah, Director - Houlihan Lokey

Ms. Shah is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Capital Markets Group. Her primary responsibilities include working with the firm’s clients to raise debt and equity capital to support refinancings, recapitalizations, restructurings, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and growth capital initiatives, as well as advising companies on a wide range of capital structure matters. Ms. Shah is based in the firm’s New York office.

Heather Waters Borthwick is a partner in the firm’s Bank Finance group in New York. Heather’s experience includes advising leading financial institutions, commercial and investment banks, direct lenders, private equity firms and corporate borrowers on a broad range of financing matters.
