His expertise in Fintechs, Mobile money, e-Wallets and Digital Onboarding involves connecting data intelligence, contents and people to help in identifying, assessing and monitoring regulatory and third-party risks.

Abu is also extremely passionate about banking practices in an African context in order to address the need for financial inclusion of more of Africa’s population and demographics.

Paul is a Solution Consultant, supporting the EMEA region for Refinitiv’s Customer and Third-Party Risk Solutions. Paul has a master’s degree in finance from Villanova University.

In his professional career, Paul has worked in both product and project management roles, with a focus on implementing KYC, AML, and Digital Onboarding solutions across the EMEA region.

Paul’s area of expertise is in the practical applications of integrating both technology and data to achieve holistic and automated solutions to fight financial crime.

Veronika has 12 years’ experience with research operations for World-check product, ranging from individual country coverage as Research Analyst, Regional oversight as Research Manager for Central Europe and global scope in her current role as Regional Research Head for Europe, Africa, North America, and Brazil.

She is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and MBA graduate from City University of Seattle.

She has vast overview of regulatory environment and legal interpretation of applicable laws and regulations around the world, as well as practical experience applying these into operations to ensure full compliance for World-check clients.

She is also mother of 2 small kids and passionate Co-Lead of the Refinitiv Women Network in Africa.

Chantel is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and Certified Senior Bookkeeper.

Chantel is an expert on risk research and content to be applied to assist with prevention of money laundering and countering terrorist funding (AML/CFT) in Africa with 5 years working experience.

Chantel is presently a Research Team Lead and is dedicated to support teams as well as customers with their content related queries and questions of the World-Check Risk intelligence database to ensure effective screening processes and AML/CFT compliance.

Chantel was born and raised in South Africa and is passionate about fighting financial crime in her hopes for a better future for all generations to come.

Joe is an Analyst covering the Central European market specifically focusing on the BENELUX Regions and the European Unions (EU). Besides the region-specific coverage, Joe will be acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) that supports the team on AML & Regulatory.

He will be responsible for providing support to existing clients with queries related to the World Check Risk Intelligence database and Compliance.

Prior to his role in the Central European team, Joe worked for 10 years as the Analyst in the Africa team, focusing on the West Africa Region contents enhancement by identifying, collecting, assessing and capturing data on Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), predicate offences including monitoring regulatory and third-party risks on Nigeria, Benin and Guinea Conakry.

He was responsible for providing support to existing clients with queries related to the World Check Risk Intelligence database and Compliance

Dima is a Senior Customer & Third-Party Risk Solutions Manager at Refinitiv. He is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) & British MBA graduate with over 25 years of work experience in client facing roles covering various sectors of the UK, Europe, Middle East & Africa.

He has vast International Development & Strategic Consultancy experience gained while working in Vietnam, Macedonia and Ukraine on projects funded by the World Bank, European Commission and Asian Development Bank covering a range of topics including financial risk & Compliance.

Over the last 5 years Dima has worked exclusively with Refinitiv’s strategic clients and has built an extensive industry network which includes Regulators and Government organizations. He is a well renowned public speaker having played a contributory role on several panels especially in the Middle East.

A family man at heart with 2 young kids, in his spare time Dima can be found tackling several endurance sports which include Marathon running & Iron Man Triathlons.
