ON-DEMAND WEBINAR

Sukuk Outlook in the Wake of the Coronavirus
Get access to this recording to get an overview of the latest developments in the Sukuk market, explore what Refinitiv Islamic Finance data, analysis and research tells us about the outlook going forward, and get a sneak peak at the new "Sukuk Now" app in Eikon.

In the first half of 2020, total sukuk issuance reached US$82.3 billion, down 19% from the US$102.2 billion issued during H1 2019. Undoubtedly the COVID-19 pandemic was a key factor in the slowdown of issuance activity. But there are signs of a light at the end of the tunnel, as activity from sovereign issuers such as Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Malaysia grew again in Q2 2020. In addition, Q2 2020 saw green and sustainable sukuk issuance recommence after supply was paused in Q1.

This session explores these trends, leveraging the new "Sukuk Now" app in Eikon, which combines the best sukuk data with tools to analyse the market and make informed investment decisions.

During this webinar, our experts:

  • Explore how sukuk issuance has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic
  • Consider the outlook for the sukuk market post-COVID and in to 2021
  • Discuss the emerging trends of green and sustainable sukuk
  • Demonstrate how you can use the new "Sukuk Now" app within Eikon to gain impactful insights into the sukuk market
