Joe Mrak, Global Head of Wealth Management, Refinitiv

Joseph Mrak recently joined Refinitiv as the Global Head of Wealth Management. Joseph Mrak is a well-known pioneer in the SaaS based Financial Technology and Wealth Management industry. He was most recently Chairman and CEO of Foliodynamix having founded the firm back in 2007 and growing the firm’s technology and advisory solutions to ~$1 Trillion in AUA, $25+ BB in AUM, and 3.5 Million accounts across 35K active advisors. FolioDynamix provided technology and custom investment programs for some of the largest brokerage firms and banks in the United States including LPL, Raymond James, Voya, BB&T, Cetera Financial, Cambridge, and Lincoln Financial to name a few. Foliodynamix sold to Actua (ACTA) in 2014 and then again to Envestnet (ENV) in January of 2018.
 
Prior to Foliodynamix Mr. Mrak was also the Co-Founder of Placemark Investments in Dallas, TX which was one of the pioneers of the UMA (Unified Managed Account) which radically changed the high-net worth investment management industry. Placemark was later acquired by Envestnet in 2014 for $66 MM. Mr. Mrak also served as an executive at CheckFree APL (Now Fiserv) as well as BISYS (Now Citi) driving technology and innovation in the wealth management space.
 
Mr. Mrak started his career in strategy consulting with A.T. Kearny and Ernst & Young. He has an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business as well as a BS from Marquette University. He sits on many boards of fintech and healthtech firms such as Clearpool Group and StaionMD in NYC as well as serves as Chairman of Solovis, Inc. in Dallas TX. He recently joined the board of Avertra which is a SaaS based provider of services and technology to the Utility industry. Mr. Mrak is also an active angel investor nationwide.

Christopher Sparke, Global Head of Advisory Solutions, Refinitiv

In this role, Christopher is focused on the entire wealth management workflow, working with technology, cloud capabilities, AI and unstructured content to support the digital transformation for wealth managers. He has been with Refinitiv for more than 12 years in various strategic global roles, from managing the advisory and investment business for Europe to expanding buy-side capabilities to financial and risk market development.

Charles Smith, Global Head of Digital Solutions, Refinitiv

Charles is responsible for driving the strategic direction, business planning and financial results for Digital Solutions business.  Prior to joining Refinitiv, Charles was a managing director in the Wealth & Asset Management Advisory practice of Ernst & Young LLP (EY). Charles has deep knowledge in wealth management product areas and is an inventor on eight US patents on process and product designs. Over the last 15 years, Charles has worked extensively with many of the top 10 US financial services institutions with a focus on product strategy, platform design, digital strategies, operating model development, and process improvement. Prior to joining EY, Charles had senior leadership roles at Fiserv/CheckFree (now Tegra118) and Misys (now Finastra).

Tim Rutka, Head of BETA Platform Solutions, Refinitiv

Tim Rutka is Head of BETA Platform for the Wealth Management business at Refinitiv. In this role Tim is responsible for the strategic vision, delivery and daily execution of the BETA securities processing, custody and clearing platform.
 
Tim has been with Refinitiv for over 20 years.  During that time he has held various senior leadership roles in the areas of development, enterprise architecture, project management, relationship management, risk management, cyber security, conversions, client services and operations.
 
Tim is a recognized Product, Technology and Operations leader in the financial services industry. He actively participates in several Sifma committees and is a graduate of the Sifma Securities Institute – Wharton School of Business.  Tim is also a board member for the Sheltered Harbor cyber security initiative.

Cameron Routh, Head of Tax Solutions, Refinitiv

Cameron is responsible for setting the strategic direction for Refinitiv Maxit tax product suite, working closely with technology and product partners to build compliance-first enterprise solutions that deliver new levels of accuracy, efficiency, and flexibility. He recently joined Refinitiv after 14 years at Scivantage, where he served in multiple strategic roles, from managing the tax business to leading the development of cost basis, tax optimization, and performance analysis products. Prior to Scivantage, Cameron founded GainsKeeper, now Wolters Kluwer cost basis solution.
