Webinar agenda

The recent unprecedented sanctions on Russia and Belarus led many EU countries and the UK to reconsider the so-called “golden visas”, which offer residency to wealthy foreign investors. Investment Migration which includes Citizenship by Investment (CBI) and Residency by Investment (RBI) programmes can be an effective method of raising capital investment and attracting talent and experience that help to boost regional economic growth.

However, any significant inflow of cash combined with the fact that applicants usually come from high-risk countries, can be opening doors to corruption, money laundering, tax evasion or fleeing justice. Strong due diligence checks need to be in place to address the risks posed by investor citizenship and residence schemes.

Watch this webinar where expert speakers will discuss:

  • The impact of sanctions on investment migration policy
  • What are the risks and benefits of investment migration programmes (including Citizenship by Investment and Residency by Investment)
  • How a sound due diligence framework can help you address the risks associated with investment migration
